Thanksgiving 2009!

Tuesday, December 1

Well, we had a very blessed Thanksgiving with, in the immortal words of Bing Crosby, "plenty to be thankful for". We traveled to Tacoma and spent the holiday with Gramma, Poppa, Uncle Mike and Gramma Ann (Gramma Ann. Kate always says it twice). Here are some pictures of the week.

Kate and "her" dog, Axl.

You just can't keep this kid still. :)

I know you might be shocked, but this is Kate FIRST learning how to properly eat olives.

Silly Uncle Mike.

This is Micah's goober smile. He lifts his chin to the air and grins. It's ADORABLE!

Walla Walla Halloween

Tuesday, November 3

Micah and I went to Walla Walla this last weekend to hang with Brooke!!! It was a blast! We went on a hike, dressed Micah up for Halloween, and played in Fall leaves. Thanks, Auntie Brookie!! It was so much fun!

Micah and Auntie Brookie, having a happy morning.

This is Micah's Halloween costume that Auntie Brookie made for him. Our little star.

Kate's a Hippy

Saturday, October 31

Auntie Brookie made Halloween outfits for the kiddos. Mama is with Auntie Brookie and Micah down in Walla Walla now, so I am posting pictures of Kate before we go to a Church's (not ours, City Church) party. She's pretty cute. I'm a trucker, with Foo Man Choo, plaid shirt, CBM hat and cowboy boots from my dad. It's mostly clothes I do/would wear normally, just don't get to wear them together.

Family Photos at Green Bluff

Monday, October 19

We went out to Green Bluff for apples and cider and our family pictures that will go on our holiday cards. With children in good moods and tripod in tow (and pumpkin donuts to bribe with), we set out to capture the impossible...a good family photo. All in all, I'd say we did DARN good!

I love how happy Micah is in this picture!

Ah, the pumpkin donut! Still warm!

Corn Maze

Thursday, October 15

The youth group had their annual "Corn N Smore" this past weekend and this year, our kiddos got to go and experience the fun. Other than the fact that we were all FREEZING cold, we had a blast.

We let Kate lead the way in the maze. She thought that was just about the greatest thing ever!

Daddy and Micah, blazing the maze trail.

I told Kate to give me her excited face for reaching the castle at the end of the maze, this is what she gave me.

Micah boy was all smiles for the trek through the maze. Everything was so much fun to look at.

Kate picked out a pumpkin to take home and color on!

The sun was going down, we completed the maze, found a pumpkin, and the cold was getting even colder. Time to go home.

Fall is Here!

Tuesday, September 29

To commemorate the beginning of fall, we took the first of many trips to Greenbluff to pick apples. The kids had a blast! And Mama was so excited to be doing "fall type" things and capturing it in pictures that it provided a perfect day.

Micah rode in the backpack. We had to keep a close eye on him, however as he kept snagging leaves and putting them in his mouth.

Kate kept saying how excited she was to pick apples. We realized, however, that she wasn't so much excited to pick apples (plural) but to pick one apple that she could eat.

Daddy and the kids listening to music.

We were blessed to have Gramma Kathy with us for the trip. After we picked all the apples, she helped Mama make a bunch of applesauce! YAY!

Making Daddy proud, riding a John Deere.

An afternoon of fun

Thursday, September 24

We had a wonderful afternoon, a few days ago. Matt was home, it wasn't sweltering hot in our house for the first time in a few months, and the kids found themselves in pleasant moods. We went to the park and watched a soccer game, then came home for a relaxing evening in which Kate decked herself out like "Fancy Nancy". It was a perfect day to take some pictures and update the blog.
